On October 7, we mark the tragic anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack against the people and state of Israel, in which more than 1200 Israelis and 32 Americans were brutally assaulted and killed. Hamas is still holding more than 100 hostages, and they have murdered as many as they can get a hold of a delegation of cure clergy and I joined with some Michigan pastors for an evangelical stand with Israel press conference and policy summit as we launched a grassroots campaign to help pastors activate support for Israel. Other activists in Michigan and elsewhere, oh, they marked this anniversary, this tragic anniversary, with protest and condemnation of Israel and the Jewish people. Well as faith leaders, we cannot allow the growing hatred and the Palestinian victimization narrative to stand. This is one of the things I said at the press conference. We must continue to show our support prayer and that support for the Jewish people and help America’s greatest and most strategic ally in the Middle East defeat terrorism once and for all.
Pastor Donald Eason of Michigan, he said, October 7 marked in quotes, a day of grief and mourning as we remember the atrocities of the attack,
but it was also a moment for us to show resolve and to launch our efforts to waken the church of Michigan. End quote, you know, at a stand with Israel rally here in Washington, DC, Jewish Christian and Muslim leaders got together many, many, many others. They stood strong, and they called on our national leaders to demonstrate support for Israel.
Liberty council vice president, Jonathan Alexandra, he said at that particular meeting, Israel’s deep wounds will heal. They will be stronger and more resilient than before. God is faithful, Jonathan said, and Israel will forever be sheltered and protected underneath the sovereign hand that created it. End quote, Concerned Women for America’s President, Penny Nance, she said in quotes, American Christians have not forgotten our Jewish friends and neighbors. End Quote, and she cited more than 300 young women for American collegiate leaders and chapters that are standing strong for Israel on campuses all across America.
A member of our Center for Urban renewal and education, the organization that I run here in Washington, DC, one of our executive team members stood with Susan Michael of the American Christian leaders for Israel and with Troy Miller, the president of the National Religious Broadcasters at this particular meeting, as they highlighted broad interdenominational support for Israel, it was here at the mall, at that mall event here in DC, that stand with Israel rally senator and vice presidential candidate JD Vance called on Hamas to release the hostages. He said, a President Trump will ensure that Israel has the ability to protect itself, and his administration will bring home American hostages.
He said, wherever those hostages are being held, which are a lot of places around the world. Martin Luther King Jr, he once stated peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist. End quote, well, as a faithful American and as a faithful Christian, I stand with Israel. You.
Americans must stand with Israel
By Straight Arrow News
One year has passed since Hamas’s surprise Oct. 7 attack on Israel, where 1,200 men, women and children were killed. The year since then has been defined both by global concern over Israel’s response in Gaza and by concern that the conflict might spill over into a wider regional war. With a majority of Americans supporting U.S. involvement until the hostages are returned, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue Israel’s fighting on all fronts.
Watch the above video as Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker reflects on the anniversary of Hamas’s brutal attack on Israel and encourages Americans to remain steadfast in their support for Israel through whatever lies ahead.
