The stage continues to be set for the 2024 GOP Presidential Primary, as more of the cast is confirmed. The Republican National Convention has scheduled the first debate, the first dress rehearsal for the primary, for August of this year in Milwaukee.
While many are yearning for the four years of Donald Trump’s leadership that really maximized every opportunity for Americans to grow, this primary also presents new opportunities to talk about our future in a positive way.
It’s a new day for Republicans to talk principles and policy. Along with former President Trump, other candidates have already announced, including Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
One of the most popular speculations for candidates remains Florida Governor Ron Desantis. And now, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina has announced he is launching a presidential exploratory committee.
The Senator stated ““I’ve been thinking about my faith. I’ve been thinking about the future of our country. And I’ve been thinking about the Left’s plan to ruin America. I believe we give the voters a choice…so they can decide how we move forward.”
And, in a nutshell, that’s where the focus lies. While Biden runs off to Ireland, American families struggle to make ends meet in a spiraling economy. The current state of American thought and culture is almost unrecognizable to what it was just five years ago. Who would have thought then that we’d now be publicly discussing policy to accommodate men becoming women and vice versa.
Meanwhile, in this stark present, the left continues to remind us of our past. They embolden the stories of past American failures and question the stories of American strengths; even questioning the very founding principles of our great nation.
When Ronald Reagan announced his presidential run in November of 1979, he too spoke of our past, present, and future, but he embodied the ever fervent possibility of the American spirit.
He noted that he had lived through four wars in his lifetime, that he’d seen the country face financial ruin in the Depression. He then noted that he had also seen the great strength of this nation as it pulled itself up from that ruin to become the dominant force in the world.
Reagan said that our country is “always impatient to provide a better life for its people in a framework of a basic fairness and freedom.” So keep paying attention as the stage is set, because this GOP primary is that opportunity – not just to condemn the present darkness, but also to light a candle for a better life and a better future.

Black Americans should vote for Donald Trump
In the 2020 elections, 92% of single-race Black, non-Hispanic voters cast their ballots for President Joe Biden, while only 8% voted for Donald Trump. That one-sided turnout followed a summer of nationwide protests against police violence largely organized by Black Americans in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, and then-President Trump’s crackdown on those protests… -
Biden’s immigration policies are all for show
On Tuesday, June 18, the Biden administration unveiled a new immigration program providing a pathway to citizenship for approximately half a million immigrants who are married to American citizens but lack legal status in the United States. It is one of President Joe Biden’s most comprehensive immigration policies, and one that immigration advocates have been… -
Grateful the Supreme Court vindicates NRA’s free speech claim
In May, the U.S. Supreme Court revived a National Rifle Association’s lawsuit that accused a New York state official of violating its First Amendment rights. The decision reinstated a lawsuit the NRA filed in 2018 alleging that the head of the New York State Department of Financial Services pressured banks and insurance companies not to do business… -
