Gov. Hochul, AG James plan new initiatives in response to Trump win

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, D, commended Vice President Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, D, for a “hard-fought campaign that really lifted up so many issues that matter to Americans.” Hochul emphasized that New York will be a “bastion” of freedom and the rule of law, continuing protections for various rights including reproduction rights and civil rights.
The New York Attorney General also vowed to use the rule of law to defend the rights of New Yorkers against any national agenda that threatens them.
