“WE’RE HERE TO PUSH THE GOVERNMENT. WE ARE HERE TO TELL THE GOVERNMENT WE NEED TO GET OUR PEOPLE BACK. YOU’RE STALLING AND YOUR FEET DRAGGING CANNOT CONTINUE ANYMORE. YOU MUST BRING THEM BACK. IF YOU CAN’T BRING THEM BACK JUST STEP AWAY, STEP BACK, STEP DOWN. JUST GET AWAY FROM THIS ISSUE.”

BACK ON OCTOBER 7TH – HAMAS UNLEASHED TERROR ON A SOUTHERN ISRAELI VILLAGE – KILLING MORE THAN 12-HUNDRED PEOPLE AND KIDNAPPING 253 OTHERS.
HAMAS RELEASED 105 HOSTAGES DURING A WEEKLONG CEASEFIRE IN NOVEMBER – AND FOUR PRIOR TO THAT.
MOST OF THE HOSTAGES HAMAS LET GO – WERE WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
ISRAELI OFFICIALS BELIEVE THE MAJORITY OF THE MORE THAN 133 REMAINING HOSTAGES ARE YOUNGER MALES – IDF SOLDIERS OR MEN OF MILITARY AGE.
OVER THE LAST SEVERAL WEEKS – HAMAS AND ISRAEL HAVE BEEN IN TALKS WITH INTERNATIONAL MEDIATORS IN QATAR AND EGYPT — TRYING TO SECURE ANOTHER PAUSE IN FIGHTING.
A PROPOSED 6-WEEK CEASEFIRE WOULD HAVE SEEN HAMAS RELEASE 40 HOSTAGES – IN EXCHANGE FOR HUNDREDS OF PALESTINIAN PRISONERS IN ISRAEL.
A SENIOR HAMAS LEADER TOLD MEDIATORS WEDNESDAY – THEY DO NOT HAVE 40 LIVING HOSTAGES THAT MEET CRITERIA IN ORDER TO AGREE TO THE DEAL.
HAMAS MEMBERS HAVE SAID – THEY NEED THE BREAK IN FIGHTING TO “TRACK DOWN” AND GATHER THE HOSTAGES.
THE OFFICE OF ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER – BENJAMIN NETANYAHU – SAID WEDNESDAY THAT THEY BELIEVE AT LEAST 33 OF THE REMAINING HOSTAGES ARE DEAD – WHILE US OFFICIALS SAID THEY BELIEVE MOST OF THE HOSTAGES ARE DEAD.
STILL – RELATIVES OF THE HOSTAGES HOLD ONTO HOPE.
[LEEBIE GOLDBERG-POLIN]
“TONIGHT WE’RE AT A CRITICAL POINT WHERE THE CHANCES OF BRINGING AS MANY HOSTAGES HOME ALIVE IS GOING AND RUNNING DOWN. SO IT’S CRUCIAL FOR US TO COME OUT TO THE STREETS AND MAKE SURE THAT THE ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER AND CABINET, THE WAR CABINET, DECIDE TO MAKE A DEAL AS SOON AS THEY CAN.”
