Gwen Baumgardner: THE FREEDOM TRUCK CONVOY OVER CANADIAN VACCINE MANDATES DOESN’T APPEAR TO BE LOSING STEAM…IN FACT THERE’S NOW A GROWING PUSH TO BRING THE MOVEMENT HERE TO THE STATES.
ON MONDAY — PROTESTERS BLOCKED THE BUSIEST LAND CROSSING FROM THE U-S TO CANADA. EVEN TWO DAYS LATER, THE CANADA-BOUND LANES WERE STILL BLOCKED…LEADING TO A HEATED DEBATE IN CANADIAN PARLIAMENT ABOUT HOW TO ADDRESS THE PROTESTS.
Candice Bergen // Conservative Leader: “Conservatives believe that living with COVID means opening up and ending the mandates, and I believe there are some liberals who believe the same thing. So will the prime minister follow the science, end the lockdowns and let Canada once again be the true north strong and free?”
Justin Trudeau // Canadian Prime Minister: “Mr. Speaker, I am extremely pleased to hear the conservatives finally talking about following science. Unfortunately, we see conservatives continuing to both call an end to the protests from in here and support them out there. They need to be more responsible leaders to get through this and to play less politics.”
Gwen Baumgardner: THIS, WHILE AN AMERICAN CONVOY IS FORMING THAT WOULD ROLL FROM CALIFORNIA TOWARD WASHINGTON D.C NEXT MONTH.
WITH THE PROTESTS NOW AFFECTING TRAFFIC IN AND OUT OF THE U-S — THEY’VE CAUGHT THE ATTENTION OF THE WHITE HOUSE.
Jen Psaki // White House Press Secretary: “We, of course, support, as you know, the right to freedom of speech and protest. But we and while we do see some of these congestion due to protests it is clear that these disruptions have broadened in scope beyond the vaccine requirement implementation. We beyond that, we are, of course, in touch with our Canadian counterparts.”
