Shannon Longworth: Everyday life in Shanghai is getting even more tense. The city continues to deal with a COVID outbreak, and residents are starting to push back on China’s testing protocols.
–Many say they’re too strict.
Some refuse to test at all…because they’re tired of it.
Or, they’re afraid that waiting in line for a test will put them at risk of catching the virus.

On social media, we see busloads of people being taken from their homes and forced into quarantine.
This includes babies and the elderly.
Shanghai officials reported three deaths yesterday, and 7 more today.
They are aiming to stop the spread of the virus outside the city’s quarantine zones by tomorrow.
