Republicans said their top priority is to seal the border and stop what they describe as a “migrant invasion.” They also call for the largest deportation operation in American history.

Here are the other points:
- End inflation.
- Provide large tax cuts for workers.
- Prevent World War III.
- Keep men out of women’s sports.
- Deport pro-Hamas radicals.
Republicans, in large part, said they support the platform.
“I think we have a unified party behind President Trump who’s our nominee,” RNC platform committee member Kevin Marino Cabrera told WISN 12 News in Milwaukee. “Our platform reflects his views.”
However, Republicans are not explicitly calling for a nationwide abortion ban.
Instead the document states, “We will oppose Late Term Abortion, while supporting mothers and policies that advance Prenatal Care, access to Birth Control and IVF (fertility treatments).”
The document said the states are free to pass laws protecting those rights. The statement led to public condemnation from pro-life Republicans, including former Vice President Mike Pence.
“The RNC platform is a profound disappointment to the millions of pro-life Republicans that have always looked to the Republican Party to stand for life,” Pence said in a statement. “Now is not the time to surrender any ground in the fight for the right to life.”

The platform was approved in an 84-14 vote, and some who opposed spoke out about the process.
“They didn’t allow any amendments,” RNC platform committee member Gail Ruzicka told WISN 12 News in Milwaukee. “They didn’t allow any discussion. They rolled us. That’s what they did.”
But not all pro-life groups are opposed to the platform.
“The Republican Party remains strongly pro-life at the national level,” Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said. “ The mission of the pro-life movement, for the next six months, must be to defeat the Biden-Harris extreme abortion agenda.”
