Vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles continues to spread across the United States, with the latest incidents occurring in New York City.

NYPD release video of alleged vandalism

The NYPD released a video showing a man allegedly carving a swastika and the word “Nazi” into a Tesla Cybertruck in Brooklyn. A second man appears to watch the act in the background. Police said the incident was recorded on Thursday night, March 27, before both suspects ran away. The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is now investigating.

This latest act of vandalism follows a series of similar incidents in the city. Multiple Tesla owners reported finding swastikas on their vehicles, either painted or applied with stickers.

FBI, Department of Justice investigate attacks

The FBI recently announced a task force to address the growing number of violent attacks on Tesla vehicles. People have reported vandalism at Tesla dealerships and their inventories in Kansas City, Missouri, Seattle and South Carolina.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, a man is facing federal charges for allegedly using a Molotov cocktail to set Tesla vehicles on fire.

On March 18, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed the Department of Justice (DOJ) would continue its investigation into the attacks and impose severe consequences.

“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism,” Bondi said in a statement.

Two days later, on March 20, Bondi announced charges were filed against three individuals allegedly responsible for destroying Tesla property using Molotov cocktails.

Although the DOJ did not specify the exact charges, they stated the offenses are serious and carry a minimum penalty of five years in prison and a maximum of up to 20 years.
