Full story

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said FBI agents seized his cell phone. According to Lindell, the seizure occurred in Minnesota on his way back home from a hunting trip when he was in a fast food drive-thru.

“We pull ahead, and a car comes perpendicular, parks a little ways in front of us, and I’ve been around the block, and I said to my buddy – I said ‘that’s either a bad guy, or it’s FBI,’” Lindell said. “He goes, ‘We’re taking your cellphone. We have a warrant for your cellphone.’ I go, ‘No.’ I said, ‘My whole company — I run five companies off of that. I don’t have a computer. My hearing aids run off of this. Everything runs off of my phone.’ I said, ‘If I don’t give it to you, will you arrest me then?’”

At that point, the FBI agents apparently handed Lindell the search warrant for his phone. Lindell was allowed to call his lawyer who advises Lindell to hand over his phone to the FBI. He added that he was not given a chance to back up his phone. Lindell claimed the agents asked him questions about Colorado County Clerk Tina Peters and Dominion Voting Systems machines, hinting at the purpose of the phone’s seizure.

“Without commenting on this specific matter, I can confirm that the FBI was at that location executing a search warrant authorized by a federal judge,” an FBI spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.

The FBI seizure of Mike Lindell’s phone comes just days after two other Trump allies had their phones seized in connection to a DOJ investigation into Jan. 6. The Lindell seizure appears to be part of a separate investigation in connection to Peters who is under indictment on state charges related to allegations about a scheme to download data from election equipment after the 2020 presidential election.

Mr. Lindell is the target of a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems after Mr. Lindell claimed the machines were responsible for changing the outcome of the 2020 election.
