Marina Yankina, another Russian official, falls from window


Another prominent Russian has died in suspicious circumstancesMarina Yankina was a top Russian defense official and a key figure in Russia’s funding of the war in Ukraine. She has now been found dead in the latest prominent Russian death, surrounded by speculation.

Yankina was found dead after plunging 160 feet to her death. She reportedly fell out of a block window from the 16th floor of a building.

The Western Military District and the Russian Investigative Committee confirmed her death. Reports from Russian officials are calling it a suspected suicide.

The top defense official’s death comes just a week after a major general, fired by Putin, was found dead in another possible suicide. There have been dozens of high-ranking Russian businessmen found dead in suspicious circumstances since the start of last year.
