Judge approves partial release of Mar-a-Lago affidavit – Portions of the affidavit that led to last week’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence can be made public, a judge said Thursday.
Several news organizations argued for its release citing public interest. The judge ordered the Justice Department to submit proposed redactions before making the affidavit public.
R. Kelly star witness faces cross-examination – The government’s star witness in the child pornography trial of R. Kelly faces cross-examination from Kelly’s legal team Friday.
The witness testified for four hours Thursday and told jurors she was the 14-year-old girl in the video that was at the heart of Kelly’s original child porn trial in 2008.
Putin, Xi to attend G-20 Summit – The 2022 G-20 Summit in November just got extremely interesting. An advisor to Indonesia’s President said both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will be in attendance.
This would be Xi’s first trip outside of China in nearly three years. It comes amid tension with the U.S. over Taiwan.
Putin’s addition is notable because Indonesia has also invited Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
