The Federal Aviation Administration logged nearly 6,000 reports of unruly passengers in 2021, and 72% of those reports were mask-related incidents. While federal authorities maintain a no-fly list for terrorists and criminals, Delta Airlines’ CEO has written a letter to the Department of Justice urging authorities to create a new no-fly list targeting unruly passengers.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian said the action “will help prevent future incidents and serve as a strong symbol of the consequences of not complying with crew member instructions on commercial aircraft.”
