Diane Duenez is the weekend managing editor at Straight Arrow News. With over 30 years of experience in journalism, Diane has done just about it all. She began her career as a sports intern at KXAN in Austin, Texas, and has since earned multiple national and regional awards for her work. The accolades include two Emmy awards, several Emmy nominations, Missouri Broadcaster awards, a national NPPA award, and the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow award for excellence in documentary journalism.

Diane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Outside of work, Diane enjoys biking, running marathons, and occasionally training for triathlons. She also loves watching and coaching her youngest child in soccer. As a married mom of three beautiful young ladies — two in college and one in high school —Diane is active in the community through school and church volunteerism. She is also an avid fundraiser for The American Cancer Society, Pedal the Cause, Fight CRC, MS150, and Powered by Hope.
