Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett says justices are not “partisan hacks”

Justice Amy Coney Barrett spoke at an event celebrating the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center.

“The media, along with hot takes on Twitter, report the results and decisions. … That makes the decision seem results-oriented. It leaves the reader to judge whether the court was right or wrong, based on whether she liked the results of the decision,” the Louisville Courier-Journal reports Coney Barrett said.

That’s similar to what Chief Justice John Roberts said during his confirmation hearing.

However, history shows the Supreme Court has been political almost since the country’s birth, and researchers says it’s become even more political recently.
