The next generation of solar power could fit in the palm of your hand


New York-based innovation company WAVJA is attempting to reimagine solar energy technology with the creation of its Photon Energy Systems — tiny spheres that could transform how light is harnessed to generate electricity. Unlike traditional commercial solar panels, which are typically over six feet wide, these new devices are small enough to fit in the palm of a hand.

“It revolutionizes how we harness sunlight,” Shereen Chen, executive president and co-founder of WAVJA, said. “We’ve engineered a system that generates remarkable luminosity by utilizing multiple layers, cutting edge materials and specialized spheres. This luminosity is then seamlessly converted into electricity using our proprietary technology.”

These Photon Energy Systems can capture light from both natural and artificial sources, without producing any pollution. WAVJA claims that its technology is 200 times more efficient than current solar power infrastructure. When compared to conventional solar panels, the power output of Photon Energy Systems is said to be 20 times greater, with projections for the next generation suggesting an increase in power of up to 60 times.

“Unlike traditional solar panels with limitations and environmental impacts, Photon Energy Systems offer pure clean energy with zero pollution,” Chen said. “The future of energy is bright, sustainable and within reach.”

WAVJA envisions Photon Energy Systems being used to power drones, electric transportation and even futuristic flying cars. However, despite the potential for this technology to be used in a variety of applications, it may be some time before these systems are deployed on a commercial scale.

The company is currently seeking partnerships with other businesses to help bring Photon Energy Systems to industrial settings. These collaborations would be crucial in advancing the technology from experimental stages to practical, large-scale uses.
